With Socom Confrontation crawling it's way towards the Playstation Store, SCEA Director of Development Seth Luisi spoke with N'Gai Croal about everything Socom. Parisi has been in charge of Zipper Interactive since the original Socom hit the PS2, so I have to assume he's got solid grasp of the fan base.
When Parisi is asked about the percentage of Socom owners who actually play the multiplayer component exclusively, he lays out a pretty hilarious statement;
"You know the online guys are really hardcore. They're playing it for four-and-a-half hours each sitting which to me is just insane, because if that's the average then there are some people that must not work, because they're playing this thing for I don't know how long, like eight hours. If that's the average then these guys are crazy, they're nuts."
I definitely have liked Me some Socom over the years, much more than the run-and-gun mess that GRAW online really is. Who knows what the future of Socom might bring, hopefully they continue to cater to all those Socom Crazies and keep it just the way I like it, hard-core.
