yes, you are right, the game isn't bad at all
just need some time to get used to it, i really thought the first one was Sh*t,
but now i'm really considering giving the second a try, anyway, i have a lot the learn yet, and the game is so forking huge, i didn't even finished the tutorials hehe

i had MHF and i thought that was good but hard. solo against lao sucked. heck, i barely could fight rathelos.

however, i have MHF2 and wow. big changes. good changes. for example...

DROMES ARE FRICKEN EASY!!!! all the dromes are ridiculously easy. i remember how hard it was for me to take on velocidrome. not cuz the monster was hard. it was cuz all he did was call his minions on me. but now, it just tries to attack me. nothing else. its like a glorified minion.

and the bulldrome? meh. scary looking but easy. dodge, dodge, poke, trap, poke poke poke, stab, dead.

i think MHF2 is a bit more noob friendly. it seems like it.

on a side note, love the bow and taichi. so so so great.

I left a similar post on gamefaqs but I think it is totally overrated. I get frustrated when people defend a game's "difficulty" when the only difficulty in the game stems from the lack of obedience the character your controlling has.

I don't know how many times I've been knocked down and instead of being able to roll away from the next attack, he stands straight back up and takes another hit. How about running like a school girl from danger, stopping in his tracks to use a healing agent, pose for the success of the heal and get smashed by the monster. You are a HUNTER, you should be alot more skillful and agile than the game gives you credit for.

i do agree with that.. what hunter in their right mind is gonna stop to flex after healing.. makes no sense but you can get around that.. tho ive stood under a few monsters why they spin around in circles with the tail whack and im done combo after combo and not get hit... quess you have to be in the right spot or at the right spot in your attack animation to avoid being hit....

oh and i HATE that stupid head kushala daora...

I don't know if the game looks worth it. Looks kinda generic to me.

i agree. it places like a full action mmo. just, you're the only one in it. i do wish you had an npc or some such to play with. hunting gets lonely. and sometimes, it just takes too long to kill something. way. too. long. but still, i love the game, the freedom in it and the monsters. plus, i think its one of the best uses of strategy and action one could take (MGS does it pretty well).

get damiyo cenautaur armor (the big blue crab thing). its like glorified samurai/knight armor. it gives plus attack, sharpen skill, and sharp blade skill. great armor when using a weapon of almost n e sort.

The game looks and feels great indeed.
The learning curve in slow but it keeps on getting more interesting.
I downloaded it a couple of days ago and can't let it down the few hours I have free. I can't wait to go back and buy it. It looks that its going to be long lasting.

So that damiyo ceneutaur is better? I hate the fact that you need to purchase separate armors, guns or blades, makes no sense. I hope Capcom add multiplayer function through the updates.

actually, purchasing separate pieces of armor and weapons is great. first off, it forces you to play the game (want better crap? earn it). second, armor sets are nice but really, some of the best skill sets are attained by comboing different sets together. good stuff.

and the multiplayer online update? dont hold ur breath.

i'm stuck at the desert missions (2 stars xD) and i'm using a iron katana *grace*. I don't know we're the f*** are the goldfishes. I didn't try to kill the "sand shark" many times but i was hoping that someone give an opinion about which is the best weapon to kill it... don't want to know how to kill him, just a good weapon to do it.

Thanks in advance

you gotta fish for the goldfish. bring bait and head to the areas with water in them (so the caves or desert oasis). when you're their, use the bait and fish. come prepared by buying the best bait before the mission. it makes it easier to catch rare fish. i kno there is a combo to be able to catch goldfish, but i dont remember it. i think its like firefly and mega fish bait. something like that.

as for killing the sand sharks, u gotta get them out of the sand first before you can even kill them. and trust me, thats easier said then done. try using bombs to fish them out (sonic bombs?). iron katana grace is fine. any blade weapon will do. just be sure to dodge and attack fast. try to kill it before it gets back in the sand. IMO, i think its weak spot is its neck. side step and try to cut its head off

good luck. wait till you fight a wyvern. THATS fun.

My friend bought the game.
I was able to play it for about 15 minutes and I loved it.
Way better then the first one.

Correction: Iron Katana Gospel
Already completed the goldfishes mission, livers and the urgent quest of that white-flying-screaming-ugly-blind monster (xD) ... I'm trying to complet the sharks mission... it's not that dificult to hit it, just like the smaller sharks (the only difference is the damage that it causes to you when it touches).

Where the heck can I found more electro sacs or the fire dragons?

i'm with you on that. for ****s and giggles i'm playing the first game for the sake of getting used to the gameplay. idk, i'm just hoping it's one of those games that slowly gets easier over time once you get the gist of it.

well, it is and it isnt. playing the first one is no different then playing the second one. really, id start on then second one since it has a training school that gives you a bit more direction then the first. plus, both games require an exceeding amount of time to play. but its true. once you get into the jist of hunting, the game gets easier. that or your reflexes are better.

good for you man. electro sacs can be found by khezu. anything that deals with fire dragon watever, you mostly have to hunt rathalos. good luck with that, hahaha.

is there any way to know monsters remaining life? cause I battle and battle and sometimes they seen to never die xD
no I haven't fought any elder dragon... I'm on the urgent quest to unlock 4* missions (killing that white ape in the montains that summons other smaller apes [cant remenber the name]).

killing the wyverns with a sword its very easy... i have tons of armor and power seeds... eat one of each... and stay between his legs. sometimes he it me with his tail but dies first than me xD

you'll need 2 "Lunastra Shell" (from killed Lunastra), 2 Fire Dragon Webbing & 4 Fire Dragon Scale (got from Rathalos or Rathian). If I remember correctly, you can get the Lunastra hunt quest from 4* or 5* village quest, but only sometimes like Kirin.

I got all honey renovated with HR1, so it's not neccessary that you need higher HR. Dunno how to get it though; all i remember is after the Tigerexx urgent quest.

Mining in the deepest part of the volcano I think. Using the Large Barrel Bomb on farm may also help.
