Man, I just got the game and it is worth it! I mean people that didn't get into it just didn't give it time, I mean you get 50 mins to slay the monsters, people thought they could just rush in, spam the [] and Triangle then win. It isn't like that they give you 50 mins for a reason, every monster has a weakness so take your time, launch a paintball to track where the monster is, look for a weak spot. The problem is that people that don't like the game like satisfaction easy, and rush to kill the monster and end up getting killed, therefore ending in frustration and throwing the game's chance away.

I give it a 9/10 very much worth it.

hahaha. english version out. and man is it sweet. my favorite weapon? the tachi. though there isnt a block feature on it, when katanas were considered great swords in the game, its not like u used it, ya?

Yeah I got the game on 29 cause my stupid local store didn't release it on time. So great, I like the new features and new weapon types. Favorite weapon is hunting horn and bow.

im using the iron katana grace right now.. if you can land a hit with the middle of the blade two hit are deadly to most normal monsters.. plus you can run still and charge up the red blood meter to get extra power... ive never even tried a bow or gun yet

I think this game is a lot better than the first one. More weapons and pause option. I really don't know what weapon to fight with.

This is my first time ever touching a MH game. Honestly, right now all of it is a little overwhelming and confusing. I seem to die a lot and sometimes I'm not really sure what I have to do or where I have to go

MHF2 is like twice as big and as good as the first. I got it yesterday and its the best, its even better since I played the first and got used to the controls and combining items and such. The enviroments and scenery I think are alot more diverse and impressive. I'm only on 2 star quests in the single player and its just sucking me in, its just plain cool. But yes, you have to get over the beginning like 2hrs to learn the game out and everything.

this game is awesome.. it takes a while of playing to get good.. but check EVERYWHERE! i cant stress that enough... stuff is laying everywhere... im working on a guide for all the gather and fish and mine points as well as where things are just laying around.. im doing for my own reference but ill share

naa its not a quick game.. it does take some time... mostly you cant do much till you get a good enough weapon to even cut the big monsters.. then its all strategy.. im having a little touble with the khezu idiot right now but ill kill that fool as soon as i cool down.. i got mad and had to quit lol

the game is amazing! capcom mustve listened to the players requests.

theres whole bunch of new monsters, Tigrex being my favorite so far. (the details on that wyvern are really impressive, has anyone else noticed?)

theres new weapons that differ enough from the originals to merit use, and the originals have been given small additions (except for i think the S&D and DS, i havent really noticed much different in those two)

this game feels like monster hunter except like when it was new to me and theres more 'oomph' to it.

i recommend it! not only so, i recommend BUYING it... *gives looks to people*
its a great game that wont let you feel like money was wasted, but rather glad that this is what you work for, if long lasting fun is what you want.

I'll be getting it shortly. I'm currently blazing through Jeanne D'Arc, so it'll either be this or Brave Story that I start on afterwards. I hope it lives up to the hype!

forget brave story for now.. go with this lol yeah and the fact you can now pause the game makes it a whole lot easier

If you fail killing a monster do you have to revert to a past save or can you have another shot at it??????

no you can never be killed per sec.. when you lose it just sends you back to the village and you can try the quest as many times as it takes to complete..

i cannot figure out how to load my data from MH1... i read all over that you can do it and get some stuff but i cant figure it out.. anyone know how?

anyhow.. i figured out hy my old MH1 save wont work with MH2.. the MH1 save i have is from the euro version and now im playing the NA version of 2 of it so they wont work together

Slightly annoying me, I got really far on MHP2 7* village and HR4, despite not knowing any japanese *high fives self, otherwise known as a clap* But the saves don't carry over. Oh well, starting again in English isn't too bad, got me to 2* now, Tachi's again, I might switch to hunting horns though, I'd got quite good with em, same with gunlances. Still such with bows though, they're too weak for my liking, not as flowing as SnS too (what I used to finish MHF)

finally i figured out that its the dummy fonts that results in the text looking goofy and hard to read with the letters going up and down.

There is anther reason for a theme manager right three! To be able to revert back to stock whenever needed

So if your text looks like this, it isnt supposed to LOL ... i played...well READ for about 10 minutes and couldnt take it any more and had to figure out why it was such an eye sore.

So replace your dic and dummy fonts with original and all the text will be in a straight line like it should.
