There's a bunch of rumors about a FF VII remake. Just because a guy from SE says that Crisis Core isn't the end of the FF VII compilation.

Yeah, the game director for Crisis Core (Hajime Tabata I believe) said so in a recent interview with 1up.

He also said that there were alot of things cut out of crisis core. rumor that there will be a director's cut version of crisis core too

The game for the PS2 was said to be the last in the 'timeline' of FF7, right?

Square Enix lies all the time. The series will end up extending much further into the future, partly because Advent Children shows Midgar 500 years after the events of the FF VII.

Apparently some people at Square Enix say there's going to be a remake, and the others say that they won't do it.... So the rumor is really just a rumor for now.

Hm, I have a Master Aerial Drain with 270% HP, I was wondering if I should keep it for the HP, because I hardly EVER use this skill, I have Curaga for healing...

But if I remove it, I will only have 5 something K HP, while right now I have 11k [Using Adaman Bangle]

Keep the HP, fuse something else if you needed something else. Get as much HP as you can, that's what keeps you alive, isn't it?

FF VII makes SE a lot of money, to stop making it would be financial suicide. They also need to keep the fans happy.

yeah but the chrono series isn't nearly as profitable. personally, i think they should continue with FF7 because the universe is great and has tons of possibilities and do chrono at the same time. but if you think about it , if they were doing this to chrono and not ff7 you'd be saying the opposite right now.

I would keep it. What level are you right now?

It's so obvious SE is going to do a FF7 remake though. Why make a tech demo if you weren't, and why would your employees say that you would?

Well not totally stop the franchise but put some investment into the Chrono series. It's pretty much a cult game now but I'd bet that it would gain more fans if SE decided to make at least a port of CT for GBA.

I really hope they do a FFVII remake :tup:

This person has brains. lol
Chrono Trigger and Chrono cross were really good games. SE would make a LOT of money for another chrono trigger game or even a port of it. I don't think they realize that if they did that the money would come. Tons of people loved CT.
There was a fan made game Called Chrono Resurrection out there. They were making Chrono trigger in Gamecube graphics. I don't know if they kept the same story and what not or make there own, but in the Chrono trigger world, but anyway, it was completely in 3D.
SE threatened a lawsuit if they didn't cancel the project. Which the team ended up doing.

Anyway onto Crisis Core. I just got it earlier today, i now, finally, have time to check it out.

I think I just pooped my self.... Just finished the first couple minutes of it.
i give it a 10/10.
Really good so far. the battling is a little weird but i could probably manage.

The ending has the same common trait with other Final Fantasy games.

A damn sad ending. Its still sad even knowing the inevitable outcome.

Yay, i just got it from target :)

But now i wish i would have gotten it from best buy for the shiny case :p

the battle music gets on my nerves sometimes.

It's not as good as the ones before...

True... but remember this one is another composer, although he left some of the music from the original game.

Anyone know what I can fuse with Aerial Drain Master +270% HP to make a different, more useful skill but also keep the HP bonus? I barely ever use the skill, I just keep it because of it's HP bonus..

ishimoto just has a very different style and lacks some variety in his melodies

The music wasn't bad, I just liked the music in Advent Children better. The Crisis Core theme song (the piano one in the XMB and in the starting menu) is really good though.

i dont know about you all, but i love the music. although it does get repetitive, the tracks are extremely catchy.

overall, this game is pretty amazing, almost there with GoW. ive been playing 5 hours, and im 5% done :p (ive only done like 10 missions.) im gonna be hooked for quite some time. :D

Almost up there with GoW?! IMO, Crisis Core is way better than GoW. GoW kind of annoyed me of how short it was.

GoW was great but no where close to being CC great. If this is a small preview of what's to come on the PSP from SE, then I can't wait to see what SE cooks up next (KH:BBS)

And the music is pure awesome. It's a great remix of the original. And One Winged Angel has the original lyrics instead of the AC one =].

xD. Naw there's a difference. I think it had something to do with Sephiroth's character development..like he was rising (original) and now he was risen (AC) (not the exact reference but something like that....)

TBTH, this game had a much bigger effect on me than GoW. The story just grasped me more. GoW isn't much more than a button masher. Although, Crisis Core is somewhat the same it requires a bit more knowledge and it has a wayyyyyyyyyyyyy better story.

i have no problem with people saying GoW:COO has a much crappier story then crisis core, because it is true. However, how can you say GoW is a button smasher, when Crisis core is nothing more than that. All you do is press X to attack. (dont tell me that "switching powers" counts as depth.) Materia fusion is a joke in most cases, and in GoW, you can also upgrade weapons and magic.

I said they're both button mashers, but Crisis Core has the better story. Materia fusion isn't a joke (if you can't fuse materia, you will never surivive by the end of the game), you need to know more than collect orbs to make a good materia.

OMFG! i got a email from GAME that Crisis Core has been delayed to the 20th of June!

actually, i havent used materia fusion yet, and ive been having no problems. im not even close to be done tho, so we'll see how it goes. also you said:

i completely disagree. CC has almost 0 puzzles, while GoW has quite many. Also, managing the materia is as easy as upgrading wepons in GoW, since the computer does it for you. Micromanaging also doesnt require too much brain power. Also, the battle system only makes it easier to fight. you dont have to do anything, and you automatically get free boosts from the DMW.
