I just got the Buster Sword, Does it actually increase Zack's attack, or does it just look pretty?
both =]
But it does have mini games. Chains of Olympus' puzzles were easy, once you do it the first time, you will never get stuck in the game again. It's basically...point the sun light somewhere, open a door, place the statue somewhere, point the sunlight, and repeat. Then go on top of something, hold L and tap circle. It's repetitive more than anything. BTW, the puzzle I just described was the hardest and most frustrating to solve...Zitat:

I don't know how far you are in Crisis Core, but unless you get to like level 50-60 or even 70, it's very hard to beat the game without materia fusion. Because simply put, you won't have enough HP to beat the Genesis Avatar and then Genesis.
I don't know why you're even trying to compare the gameplay of the two games, one is an RPG, the other an action game. Although they are very alike in the matter that they're both crazy button mashers, Crisis Core (because it's an RPG) has way more aspects to it than God of War.
FFCC has a way more indepth battle system than in GoW. Why? Simple. Equipments. Once you're upgraded in GoW you can pretty much use everything and bash you're heart away. In FFCC you have actual strategy involved. You're practically limited in what you can use (especially in the beginning) so you have to think about what's effective and ineffective. It's as simple as that.
i just beat it. the ending was so gripping and sad,
BTW i was only at level 32
Did you finish the missions?
no, i didn't want to waste my time with them(story is all that mattered atm) the first time around, i might on the 2nd playthrough.Zitat:

14 hours flat almost
My friend beat it at the same level. How much HP did you have? You need at least 10k to beat the avatar.Zitat:
Zitat von Trigun
lol i beat the avatar with only 3.4k HP
Are you serious?Zitat:
Zitat von -CHW42-
I had less than 3k.
Just dodge, spam Vital Slash, use Cura, throw up Barrier and Magic Barrier, rinse and repeat.
i dodged, firaga'd, vital striked and curaga'd. and that's pretty much itZitat:
Zitat von |-Anubis-|
Vital strike alone does 7k+ damage and firaga did multiples of 1.5k+ curaga heals 4k+
It take me a while to get a good strategy. But before that, I had to suffer through one of the few flaws of Final Fantasy:
Dying and having to sit through 10 minutes of dialog.
i never died XDZitat:
Zitat von |-Anubis-|
i only died like twice throughout the whole game
Just started playing this today. Not much of an RPG fan but this is alright. Only put in an hour and a half.
However, I do not think it will be better than Gow(not taking length into consideration). Story-wise yes everything else no. But I will wait and see before i say one way or the other
i think it's better than god of war. but i also think a million other games are better than god of war
Think it depends on the player. Personally, I still consider Wipeout Pulse, Castlevania and Ratchet and Clank as the best psp games, but from a technical standpoint it is hands down Gow, so far anyway.
personal tastes definately are a factor.
I would say that this is the best game for the PSP, hands down. Of course that is my opinion, and I am an RPG person.
Yeah my friend slept over the yesterday and played CC all day and night. Unfortunately he beat the game during my hockey game so I couldn't see the ending, but I heard it was pretty cruel and sad...He was like around level 32 aswell with like only 3.5k of hp. I doubt he used vital strike or materia fusion...he just started that day so I didn't bother really explaining the game to him besides magic, dodge, and attack. Whatever I'm only like right before the Angeal fight at like lvl 22 with 3.2k of hp.Zitat:

--Double post--
how do you guys get such a large hp boost? Like how do you get the genji armor and stuff or that astral drain thing?
I finished the game at lvl 30 with around 3k HP...Normal mode though

In short, just use fuse HP Up materia repeatedly.
I have a HP Up materia with around +500% and it can go up to +999%
You're also going to need Adaman Bangle to break the 9999 HP limit.
Zitat:
Zitat von |-Anubis-|
Is there an equipment that allows you to break the 9999 damage Limit?
Yea its called "Brutal"
Search for it in the FAQs. I know you get it in a mission.
Why did Xplay give this game a 2/5?
shock value?Zitat:
Zitat von SpiderJames
He died with like 3000 HP 10 times lol, it wasn't until I told him how to materia fuse that he got it done.Zitat:
Zitat von Trigun
i havent played this game yet, but everyones been giving it mixed reviews. Gamespot gave it a 9, IGN 8.5, Gameinformer 7.25, and Xplay 2/5.
His finishing attack takes off around 7000 HP, I wonder how many barriers you really had to put up to live.Zitat:

I wouldn't listen to the Xplay one...I thought GameInformer gave it a 7.75. Anyhow, the game's average review score is 8.6.Zitat:
Zitat von SpiderJames
my b, gameinformer did give it a 7.75Zitat:
Zitat von -CHW42-
Wow. Did you even do the missions.Zitat:
Zitat von commandersafi
I am right after you discover Angeal is mssing, doing missions and level 17.
:)
Haven't you played the game? I can only put up ONE barrier and ONE Magic barrier.Zitat:
Zitat von -CHW42-
Maybe you just suck at Final Fantasy. Or you played on Hard.
When i get the game, il set difficulty on hard, i need something which will be time consuming.
Don't they wear off? I never liked using barriers, I just hack until they die and throw in a couple of magic attacks while dodging most physical attacks. I depend on my HP a lot (I had 14,000 by the end of the game).Zitat:
Zitat von |-Anubis-|

You'll be extremely frustrated...I recommend finishing the game on easy first, then save it and play a new game + on hard mode, it's a lot easier to manage.Zitat:
Zitat von Nero
Yea but if you have mastered the materia then it'll last longer.Zitat:
Zitat von -CHW42-
Halving all physical damage and magical damage is worth a few seconds of casting. Besides there are lulls in between Avatar's attacks.
If you have the Wall materia, it'll cast both Barrier and Magical barrier at the same time.
xplay is pure ****e so why care?
I just beat it again the second time, might play a third when I'm bored.
i'm still debating whether to play it a 2nd time because i have a ton of stuff to already do
it gets better after you play it the 8th time.Zitat:
Zitat von Trigun
wwwhhaaaaaaaaaa? 8th time???????
I just beat it the 20th time, still fun :). But really, the story is interesting every time, the final video is just so sad. The song in that video is like stuck in my head even though I don't know what it means.
