O_O how'd you do it 20 times??? are you just fighting the final boss over and over or are you going through the whole game really fast?

I finished the game about 3 days after I got it on easy mode. Finished at level 35. I've been playing it on hard mode now on and off taking my time and this is my experience with the differences:
-Enemies aren't too much harder they just have more HP and do more damage.
-Modulating phase happens WAY too infrequently.
-I haven't leveled up yet even though I'm already at Modeo Town.
I've come to the conclusion that the modulating phase has never actually been "random" but rather it probably checks for certain conditions and then helps you through at certain points. Makes sense considering it needs to ensure you're of an acceptable level to beat the final boss. Just makes me upset that on my second time through...halfway through the game...I'm still level 35.

Is there any way chain slash will happen again once you fill the DMW?
no but its an awfully weak move.
Sephiroth's octaslash is basically the same thing but much more powerful.
I just wanted to screencapture the video for something.
Guess I'll just find it on the net somewhere. Thanks for the info Anubis.
Its probably a good idea to make a new save file for different chapters.
Alternatively, you can just beat the game and start a new game to blank out the DMW wheel.
What are the goddess materia for?
I found the pedestal but i only have 2/7
--
yay now 3/7
Goddess Materias open up the path to the Final Boss.
They're scattered in treasure chests in the dungeon.
Just walk around there are a couple in the waterfront with the LOVELESS tombstone thing and three or four in the Lake of Oblivion area.
yay, gotz em all. ummm... How do you get the extra 2 item slots?Zitat:

i could care less about new game +, it's a nice bonus but a game "doesn't" have to have it.
Wahhh I just beat it
I am seriously crying right now.
Why did they have to kill Zack off?
That was rhetorical right?
Although I was hoping for some sort of "I'm alive anyway HA HA HA" goodness but alas its just like Aeris. Or is it Aerith?
lolZitat:

Aerith in U.S. Aeris in Japan
Quick Question, Does this mean that the guy Genesis carries in Dirge of Cerberus is Angeal? Or is it Zack? ( From Secret Ending)

It's a play on for Earth.
Ahh that sorted my Aerith/Aeris confusion :)
I thought that was Weiss...Zitat:

Because Weiss and the rest of the Tsviets were made with G cells. Genesis' voice was so Fobby too lol.
Yeah it's Weiss. Well now that Genesis is awakened I bet there will be a game after Dirge of Cerberus. Hopefully for PSP?
Beat it 3.4k hp, lvl 34, no wall or barrier or magic barrier, his final attk did 2.5k damage anyways :p
How much VIT did you have? Some people here say he did way more damage than that..Zitat:

Wow those bouncy ball enemies gave me 2000x2 SP each
wrong.. it's Aerith Gainsborough (エアリス・ゲインズブール, Earisu Geinzubūru) in japan and Aeris Gainsborough in the original english translationZitat:

It depends on your HP, the final attack takes away 3/4 of your HP.Zitat:

Is the english game worth it? I have the Japanese version of the game beat it twice, but i dont know if i want to spend another 40 on this.

English subtitles under the videos that are dubbed in English. Did the Japanese version have english subtitles?
I hear the FMVs are a lower quality (surprise, surprise)
nvm just saw the english version. O_O
ill stick my my original version.
Ahh. After formatting my memorystick to reinstall UPMS, everytime I start the game up, in the intro where you are supposed to press O to load your gamesave, when I press any button, nothing happens... and it's not on hold. I can press the Home button and the exit back to the game with the O button just fine. =/
You know honestly, the English dubs aren't all that bad. Actually, I'm surprised how good they actually are. I favor the VAs in CC over the ones used in AC.Zitat:

they are the same ones..... :/ the only different actor i think is the person who plays Aerith and thats it.Zitat:

it's all still GREAT by me:humped:
I'm just about to play through the English version of Crisis Core, after I played through the Jap version and lost myself in a sea of japanese words.
Now that I have played this a lot I have come to this conclusion:
It's a nice game, but to be honest if it wasn't for the fact that it's under the FF7 family tree I don't think I would of made it as far as I have. I said the same about Advent Children (Which was also a hugely disappointing movie).
I think it's a shame Square Enix are now trying to please the fanboys as opposed to the fans of good gaming.
That's true, outside of the story, the game is nothing spectacular. But then again, the story is one of the most important elements to an RPG. I've never throughly played a single Final Fantasy game before this, but now I've already played VII and Crisis Core in the past few weeks, so I was definitely not a fanboy of any kind before this game.Zitat:
Zitat von CaptainGingerbeard
well isn't that the point? FF7 already has a fanbase of millions so why go out of your way to please people who aren't fans it already? and is there anything wrong with trying to please the fans? not at all. i love that they are trying to do that, not many companies do.Zitat:

unlike konami and Metal gear solid portable ops they had to make it fun for the "psp" audience and for the people who don't like cutscenes which pretty much almost ruined the whole game for a Hardcore Metal Gear fan like me.
