I finished it a couple days ago and here's my opinion. I was disappointed that the game didn't take me long to complete, however I had expected this since it was a prequel, and through all of the confusion in FF7 about Cloud's memory being taken from Zach's, they didn't have much to work with unless they made it so you continued on as Cloud through the rest of the game. I was also disappointed that I could gain money, but I couldn't spend it because stores wouldn't actually sell anything, and inns only talk to you as well (unless my game had a glitch). At first the game play doesn't need much skill, but as you go on, it is crucial to learn how to dodge attacks and when to use materia or potions, unless of course you are lucky enough to get level ups all the time. The last thing I would have preferred is if missions were required in order to continue on through the story, I find that once I start a mission I will play it all the way through until it's complete, but otherwise I wont bother and I just continue on with the story line. Some cut scenes were also a lower quality than I would have preferred, but they weren't "bad" at all. As a second note to my thoughts towards the length of the game, I can't complain since I usually stop playing a game after endless hours of wasting time. Overall, the story was amazing, and despite any cons, I've grown to love Final Fantasy VII more than ever.
