It also has a problem with deleting all your save games so back em up first.

@spiderjames: yeah haha it's the 2cd of june I get to play it. The games really good and I played it a fair bit yesterday but i'm gonna have to act surprised at e3. :P

I have not run into that problem and I have been playing it a lot even after reports came out about what it does I would exit out of the game quite a few time with no problems what so ever. I did how ever did run into rock band crashing the psp when its compressed but i have had no problem running it as an iso.
Man I cant wait until the 9th I am going to go out and buy it just so I dont take up memory card space and the fact its that good in my opinion. I do wish they added just playing the instruments individually though.

I've not ran into the problem yet either tbh but a few people have so thought i'd mention it.

I noticed it crashes when you try removing anything from it or compressing it, which is s shame since i got it down to 800mb.

I'm definitely going to buy the game when it gets a Europe release though because it is indeed fun. The controlling 4 instruments is weird but it works.

Maybe they should of allowed you to choose though.

If you choose warm up area you can play a single instument. To bad you couldnt do it during tour mode though.

Yeah its a lot of fun but be careful and backup your memory card because some people are reporting that it deletes your game folder there is also reports that if you put a text document in your game folder it wont delete the folder.
I dont know because I have not had the problems being reported

I put this game onto my mem card.

I played it once. Then when I turned on my psp the next time and went to load a game, it said no games.

But I hooked it up to my computer by usb and checked, all the isos are still there...

WTF mate?

I'm gonna post this for your convenicnce again Nate but don't make a new topic about your problem if your gonna ask about it here too ^_^. It just ends up cluttering the forums IMO ^_^.

I'm gonna check this out on my PSP, there may be a way out of this which is:
Don't quit the game, but take the battery out every time instead. I'll test both ways anyway. The third one would be when you exit to the XMB take out your memory stick. Can't delete anything that way. Will edit and let you know soon.

EDIT:
Unfortunately I haven't had the same problem, so I must ask you natediesel, is RBU an ISO or CSO file, mine is a CSO hence when one of the possibilities for me maybe not losing my files. Also my CPU/BUS for my XMB and GAME are 333/166, that may also help. If it's an ISO you have try converting it to a CSO and backing up your GAME folder and SAVEDATA folder (just in case, coz' you never know) and going into the game and then exiting. See what happens and let me know if it works as I can then post it as a solution to this "small crisis" on people's GAME folders. Hope it works and best of luck ^_^. Enoy the game, it's amazing :P
PS. My UMD Mode is running on the M33 Driver.

About the memory stick issue some people are having (i'm not):
Put a blank .txt file inside of your GAME folder, ms0:/PSP/GAME/.txt

About making it smaller:
Use UMDGen 4.0. Instead of deleting files from it, right click on files you want to "remove" and click "dummy". The files you dummy will turn red.
Languages other than english and the 3 files in the Update folder can use the dummy feature. Compress it to CSO and it should come out to 714MB.

Did the smaller thing and it does not load. I tried that when i first downloaded it.

Ive been playing this game nonstop lately, it is a blast, My band is awesome, my singer wears a full suit and a top hat and has a golden mic. Total Rock Band feel to it, and DLC will be awesome, very impressed with the game, hope it gets good reviews.

This is ridiculous, if admins of this websites REALLY CARE about PSP sales and support sony and game developers then infos about leaked games should be BANNED on qjnet , this should be one of the most important rules here,why this wasnt made as a rule, stop spreading the word about leaked games , if you wouldnt post that this game leaked to the net i even wouldnt know about this.Spreading info supports piracy ,it hurts the sales if peoples know that its available and they download it before it hits the stores ,anyway you guys should really think about this rule with admins here.

We here at QJ dont allow any discussion of piracy, stating a game is leaked is for discussion purposes only as you can see. I dont know how you think saying this game is leaked is hypocritical in any way. Sure QJ does not support piracy in any form, but no one here has said anything about pirating the game. You are making false accusations here at QJ which is something we DONT enjoy seeing. Please see all forum policies before posting again.

in my thought's, i think the devolopers laeked it intentionally, becuse the way i see it the game is 70% finished, i mean, where is the multiplayer, can we have co-op songs and choosing one instrument?

although i'm not a fan of Rock Band (i have nothing against it, i started with guitar hero & sticking with it) but the game play and concept are incredible, with all respect to "Guitar Star" Homebrew maker, this is a game that im enjoying (except the vocals, why?)

plus, one of the more reasons to think this leak is intentional is the people reporting the exiting thing and/or deleting game file, they intened it to make it this way so it wont affect there sales, one of the 3 files in the ISO directory " PSP_GAME > USRDIR > UI " are programed to crash every now and then if it decteted it self in a memory stick rather than UMD (dont ask how i know, i spent hours making CSO out of the game by deleting stuff or padding, this info came to me by concidence from one of my failed CSO's)

so what tips do i have tell the official game comes out?
* try changing the ISO mode, it wont make the problem go away but make it less booting out of a song
* if it does boot u out before a song (single song or part of a playlist, which sucks) just remove and re-insret the memorey stick less then a second, i have a Phat PSP so its eassy for me, my sis is suffring from it
* about the GAME folder deletion, i cant confirm it yet, but up until now some of my cuzin's PSP's had this problem, what they had in common was the 3.90 M33 CFW, as i said, unconfirmed, i didnt suffer from it so finger crossed

Spreading the info about leaked game helps piracy,i know that this forum is against piracy thats why im not sure why info about leaked games are allowed here.You could add just one small rule ,dont post info about leaked games ,and this could help a little.But you guys wont do that ,ill bet my 1GBP.
Honestly , why you guys dont skip news about leaked games ? Why this info is needed on forums against piracy ?

A majority of the talk has been about the game itself and problems that have occurred. We haven't said anything about where you can get it from.. And I too think someone from the inside leaked the game.

I downloaded it as well and haven't ran into any problems that other users have mentioned. I have it at a 924mb CSO and nothing has happened. Then again I have it on another memory stick than my own haah.

The games great. Totally an awesome way to bring back Frequency/Amplitude to the fans of the two. I'm definitely planning on picking this one up.

A friend of mine downloaded the "Multi2" repack and COS'd it to Level 1 compression (not level 9 because it only shaved off an additional 7mb, which isn't worth the extra decompression / load time).

So far it works just fine unless he tries TOUR mode, at which point it crashes when starting the tour.

However, if he disables auto-save, it seems to work just fine. For the record, his GAME folder is not empty and neither his GAME folder or his SAVEDATA folders have been deleted by RBU.

Anybody have any thought / input?

I was gonna download this game eventually. I don't buy PSP games, or games in general unless their epic, and so far those epic games have been Halo 3 and Gears of War, and they ain't on the PSP. If someone planned to pirate this, they were gonna do it whether it came out early, on time, or even late.
