Turns out the maps are not playable, though if you DO still want to try out the missions, one person who enters will win a package from Sony worth 1000$ Dollars. Still worthwhile for 20 minutes of a little effort, if your still inclined.

Above is the Official Syphon Filter site. On the page, note that there are two mirror shards labelled 'Mission 1' and 'Mission 2'. These are little 'quests' that have you completing some dirty work for the agency. They both involve a little digging around, but neither should take more than 5-10 minutes, assuming there are no registration problems. After completing Mission 1 (which is very easy), you gain access to the first pack, which includes MP3's for gunshots and such and video's about Syphon Filter. They also give you a code, which you use to access Mission 2. This mission is even easier, and gives you complete access to a bundle of Sony sponsored goodies.

What you win:
-Featurette/Interview Video with the voice of Gabe Logan
-A Chance to win a 'Spy Pack', which includes, amongst other things, a PSP, a copy of Dark Mirror, an infrared camera, and other state-of-the-art spy tools.
-Another downloadable pack

In the downloadable pack, there are some exclusive videos and wallpapers, but the most important of all is that there are FOUR EXCLUSIVE MAPS that are immediately AVAILABLE FOR DOWNLOAD STRAIGHT TO THE PSP!


NOTE- Yes, I have the download link to ALL the files. However, I don't want to link to it. Not only is it cheating, but you would miss out on the whole 'Alternate Reality Game' that occured. If someone is honestly stuck on the missions (which I doubt, seeing as it's a fairly simple, though fun experience), ask for help in this thread.

NOTE 2- Just to avoid the haters, here's a picture of the prompt that the content comes in, just so you know this is completely true, and it does result in 4 Exclusive Maps for Syphon Filter.

Edit: Sorry guys, I have no info about anything in the packs because I don't have Syphon Filter, hence cannot say if the maps are online or single-player... or anything.

The new maps aren't playable, they are just pictures of single player levels that you can view from a bird's eye angle. If you are stuck (like I was because I didn't get a correct reply in the e-mail kemsyth sent me) then below are the proper codes to grant you access.

121782 - Use this code to access the secret content in Mission 1 and also unlock Mission 2 (this is the code you would have gotten in an e-mail reply from Teresa for completing the mission).

021974 - Use this code to access the secret content in Mission 2 (this is the code you would have gotten in an e-mail reply from Terese for completing the mission).

I got those codes from somebody who posted them on GameFAQ's so kudos to that person. Also the content that is put on the PSP isn't worth it. It's just some pictures and 2 videos, one you can watch on the website after unlocking it and the other is just a Dark Mirror trailer.

Sorry guys. Looks like the maps are a fraud.

The maps are not playable, guys. Though, if your in need of a little timewaster, there's no harm in still completing the missions if you are so inclined.

Not the mention anyone who wins is eligible for the prize pack... worth 970$ (PSP, game, and all those wacky spy accessories). It's worthwhile to try to win a grand worth of prizes for 20 minutes of intrigue.

This is weird. What's the point of non playable maps? This is just a waste of time.

It keeps saying "We don't have this email on file, agent, please confirm and re-enter" on both missons when I try to send them the email. Although I got by it on Mission 1, the code for Mission 2 is wrong, so I'm stuck.

Weirder still, is one message that I sent them worked for some reason (on the first mission), but no longer does, and I'm making sure it is the right email. Any suggestions?

way to revive an old thread...anyways dont waste your time, they are only pictures of maps. The only point of completing the mini games is to enter the contest
