I am trying to rip a few DVDs to my psp for a flight next week. I am on OS X and have used handbrake to successfully transfer the DVDs to the computer. From there I use FFmpegX to convert the video files to PSP format. This is where things go strange. I converted 2 different movies: one in 16:9 and one in 2.35:1 format. The 16:9 one is 480x272 xvid, and the 2.35:1 one is 480*204. The 2.35:1 video works like a charm in the ms0:/VIDEO/ folder. However, the 16:9 one starts to "play" in both folders and then says that the video couldn't be played. No reason given, just that it won't work. Is their a known issue? Am I missing something? Please help. It doesn't make sense to me that one would work while the other wouldn't. I thought it could be a software issue, but that doesn't make sense if one of the conversions worked great. That's why I'm leaning towards it being an issue with the PSP and the resolution. Any help would be much appreciated.
