I started with firmware 1.50 and this PSP has never been upgraded, EVER.
I was using devhook 0.51 beta and was playing a game off the memory stick. I pressed HOME and wanted to exit then my PSP shutdown (not sleep, shutdown). I turned it on again and it booted to my 1.50 firmware (I can tell because of custom backgrounds) and was reading off the memory stick. It was reading off the memory stick for a good 2 minutes and I didn't know what it was doing, so I held the power button for 10 seconds to force it to shut down. I took out the memory stick and UMD and now I turn it on and my background comes up for a split second then I get this blue screen saying "Setting information is corrupted. Press the O button to repair and restore default settings". I press the O button and it goes black for a few seconds, then the same screen comes up again. No matter how many times I press O, it doesn't restore any settings.
Is there any hope or is it completly bricked? Would a mod chip fix this, and would the mod chip come programmed with an original 1.50 or does it need my 1.50 to backup? Is there an internal battery (like CMOS, to keep time), and would disconnecting or killing this battery help?
