Broken Powerswitch Workaround (On and Off!)
You must have a psp headphone controller which came with the old bundle PSPs and are also sold separately to make this all work.
You must be running FW 3.10OE, 3.30OE or 3.40OE OSs.
First download the file Fastpower by Test30 with help from vodkkaa:
Then install it like any other prx to your memory card and make sure to enable it in recovery.
This PRX adds the following commands:
Suspended your PSP: press L+R
OFF your PSP: press Select
Now you can turn your PSP off or put it into sleep mode.
To turn your PSP on, connect the headphone controller to the PSP and press play (making sure hold is turned off on the headphone controller). Remove the headphone controller.
Your psp is now on and you can play it as long as the power switch didn't die in the locked position. Press select at the XMB to turn it off.
Even if your switch still barely works, this method can keep your PSP switch in one piece a lot longer by being able to avoid using it when you remember.
