I told my boss at work about the custom firmwares, and since he had just upgraded to 3.50 I gladly offered to downgrade his PSP and get him running a custom firmware. I took his PSP home and plugged it into my PC, went to activate the USB connection, and his PSP said "please wait..." but it never connected. Thinking it was strange I canceled, but noticed that my PC was frozen up. I thought nothing of it really and rebooted my PC, then the trouble started. After my PC reboot, windows would not load up at all. All I got was a black screen shortly after it displayed my Pentium processor logo. I waited, and waited, and waited but it didn't boot up. So I turned it off and tried again getting the same result. I rebooted again and went into the recovery mode of my PC by pressing ESC on startup, tried to reboot into safe mode, also tried to reboot with my "last known good configuration that worked", but still all I got was a black screen shortly after. What on earth has happened!? I'm on the family computer in the living room at the moment hoping someone may have a solution, otherwise I think I may be royally screwed. I have to note that my boss mentioned that he tried to downgrade his PSP but it didn't work and claimed that "nothing happened even though he put all the downgrade files in the right place." He had a greatest hits version of Lumines, but I doubt any of this has to do with my problem. I'm not even sure this thread belongs here.
