I'm having a problem connecting to the internet. I did have 1.50 firmware and decided today to get 3.40 OE-A and everything installed perfectly for that. However now my internet connection is not working. At first i had WEP on and had the right key in and everything and I was getting an error so I turned off WEP and I'm still getting the errors. Basically if I do automatic DHCP I can not obtain an IP address and if I put everything in Manually the connection to the internet fails but I successfully connect to the router because my psp shows up in the routers software. I'm using the DNS server that my router says it is connecting to. I set up manual address setting in Vista so I know how to do it, basicaly the same thing for psp. Like I said though it says Internet Connection: Failed. I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong and any help would be appreciated. Also I'm running DD-WRT on a WRT-54G I think that's a version 5 I've got, perhaps a 6. Thanks!
I just set the IP address to 192.168.1.125 instead of 192.168.1.7 or 192.168.1.90 which I had tried previously and it worked like a champ. I have Vista as well as my XBOX set to ip address under 192.168.1.100 and they both work fine so I don't know what the deal is. I guess I'll set my WEP back up and see if its still working.
Just set up WEP again and its back to not working so I guess I'll turn off my protection but I really need it on. I would still like to know why I can't set the ip bellow the 100s?
Ok, Did WEP again this time using the very first key I had instead of the second key and it's working. anyone know why I have to use the first key instead of one of the others?
