couldn't find a thread about RSS anywhere so here it goes:
I have 3.40 OE-A.
It has an RSS reader.
The web browser works fine but no luck with RSS.
I'd like to subscribe to RSS feeds, download them automatically (or manually) and read/view later at my leisure w/o wifi. Should be possible, right?
I subscribed to a couple of RSS feeds in the web browser. I click the link, a PSP menu comes up asking if I want to add it, I click yes. Quit the browser, the feed shows up in the RSS reader's list.
Halleluya, or almost... I can't get it to display any actual information.
I don't have wifi at home so my recollection is a bit vague but hopefully it's enough:
When I click save in the RSS local menu (which I guess stands for retrieving the new content from the net and saving it), it looks for a wifi connection, finds it, says "setting IP" or whatever it usually does and then reports a saving error of some sort. "Save Multiple" did the same.
When I chose "Play" (display saved content I guess) it simply reported that there were no items to display. It also seeks a wifi net connection which puzzles me.
I tried to set the save timer... it sort of worked because after that I got a different error message when trying to "Play": cannot display and a lengthy code I don't remeber.
Anyone knows what the hell is going on?
+ a bonus question for those who actually read all this: is there a way to change the default character encoding? Hungarian accents only show up correctly with "western" and the browser always resets to some other encoding when I navigate to a new page.
A million thanks for any help.
