After having a fellow QJ member (chubbz) unbrick my PSP (which worked flawlessly (thanks alot man ) I decided to upgrade my PSP from (1.50, the 1.50 that is used to unbrick any PSP) But in the boot up, I get a message saying, "To start, you must update the system software"
I ignore this so I update to 3.40 OE-A then after that I would upgrade to M33's firmware for safety reasons. However, when I made my DXAR and such and proceeded to upgrade to 3.40 OE-a, I get the message, "Checking and validating DXAR file..."
No memory light blinks. After 40 seconds later, the screen isn't moving. I think to myself... "Crap... another brick after recovering from a brick?"
I had the choice to hard restart, or think of some other crazy solution.
I hard restarted.
Thankfully, the PSP restarted fine, but I was greeted with the same message. "To start, you must update the system software"
Is this something that is affecting my 3.40 OE upgrade?
EDIT: Also... before I had no knowledge on how the unbricker worked (this is before chubbbz unbricked my PSP) I logically formatted my memory stick before figuring out, I needed 2 PSP's/ Could this be a problem also?
