Buying a psp
I'm buying a new psp (slim) soon, and my main goal is to use homebrew apps and things of the like.
Then I noticed this
New PSP motherboards prevent users...
So will I be out of luck with anything homebrew??
Please forgive me if this is an idiotic question =(
Thank you for your responses!!
Great board btw
If you get a battery that's already been made into a Pandora battery (or buy a Datel TOOL battery: google it), they will work. The new motherboards block the creation, but not use, of Pandora batteries. You'll still need a magic memory stick, but you can make that regardless with an (illegal) easy installer.
I see, that's unfortunate
Is there a chance that another work-around will come about??
You can convert a battery into a Pandora battery with a hardware modification. I doubt a work-around will be coming out anytime soon as long as we have the hard-mod method. Not to mention, I'm pretty sure PSP Slim batteries cannot be converted into Pandora batteries.
I see I see
I'm going to buy one and hope I'm lucky enough to get a hack-able one
the battery hardmod is doable, crack open the battery case and slice the trace circuit. i watched someone do it 2 weeks ago.
Did you see someone do it on a psp with the newer motherboard??
The motherboard version won't effect hardmodding a battery.
So even if I buy the newest psp I can find, I can still cut the wire and use it like a pandora's battery?
I'm a complete n00b at this >.<
Thanks for all the help guys!
