I'm looking to start getting back into the scene after over a year of not updating my firmware or adding any new homebrew apps or games.
I used to give advice to people on using the PSP and even wrote a guide for it including up and downgrades and using homebrew, etc, but now I wouldn't have a clue where to start on getting up to date.
So I have two questions:
1) Is there any kind of database out there you could recommend that is well organized, gives a brief description of each download available, and just lists the latest version of everything instead of having to wade through multiple versions of the same thing?
I have seen QJ's download section and it has 43 million PSP files.. way too much to go through in a lifetime.
2) How would I go about updating to the new M33 (CFW 5.0) from what is currently on my PSP: 3.71 M33-3 - I know that custom firmware upgraders are rarely universal and you usually have to go up in steps like 3.71 to 3.8, 3.8 to 4.0, 4.0 to 5, or whatever. What would be the path for making the firmware current?
Any other suggestions you have or resources you could link to would be greatly appreciated also.
