I need help getting my PSP back into full working condition. Alright so a few months ago my PSP 2000 wouldn't turn on or charge through the AC adapter . I ended up buying an external charger, and a generic battery. It worked fine after that. So today I was playing the PSP for the first time since I got it working. I ended up finding out that I can still charge through usb. So I left it charge for a while on usb, but when I went back to the computer I thought it went into idle?(or power saving?) mode(I forgot to turn that off.) So I tried turning it on the power, but it didn't work. I took the battery out and tried again, to no avail. I then tried using the external charger, and the red light that usually comes on when it charges came on as usual(don't ask me why it is a red light for charging.) Anyway it finished charging and went to green, but it doesn't seem to work. I have now way of knowing whether it is my battery or PSP that is causing this because of my problem of not being able to charge the PSP through the AC adapter directly. I really don't want to spend the money on an OEM battery to find out that it isn't working, and I do not want to wait 2 weeks for a generic one to come in. I don't have any friends with PSP's so I can't borrow any of their batteries? So does anybody know what my problem is? Do you think it is the battery? Why would charging it through the USB cause such a problem? I would actually like to get both problems solved, but at the very least I want it working again as I do have many options to charge it through. Also I know it isn't bricked, because the lights don't come on at ALL. Thanks for any help.
