Ok heres the run-down
Decieded to flash a custom wave on PSP-3000 (I'm a risk taker) I had no brick and no problems what-so-ever. Then I fully turned off the PSP. Don't ask me why. Now I can't seem to get ChickHen to boot, even with the patched tiff. Any ideas? Am I out of Homebrew? Thanks in advance. Oh and I did reset to default settings so that isn't it. |

It is advised that you do not flash ANYTHING on the PSP 3k. The problem is that you do not have enough ram left to run the chickHEN, so unfortunently you might not get it to work anymore, but keep trying. If that does not work:
1. Update and during the update, turn it off. Then, send it to Sony, and hope they give you one with firmware 5.03 or below, or 2. Update FULLY and sell it on eBay to some n00b who won't want a hacked one, then buy one from eBay with firmware 5.03 or below It's up to you! Good Luck! Last edited by Fetts; 11-06-2009 at 11:13 PM.. I heard when ChickHEN first came out someone else did this too and had the same problem. If I remember correctly the custom wave will prevent you from loading ChickHEN no matter how much you try. Something about how ChickHEN accesse the kernel to achive the exploit was screwed up by the custom wave I think.

When i load chickhen r2 on my 2000 i only load it once and i'm in even sometimes i have to do it twice...anyway this is what i do and i hope it helps you like the way it helps me.
1.Shutdown the psp even if its on. 2.Switch it back on but don't press any other key. 3.Move to pictures and open it,then quickly open the chick hen folder and scroll to the last tiff picture. 4.If it doesn't work, make sure you went straight to the Pictures tab when you switched it on. 5.If it still doesn't work try at least twice...i may upload the pictures i use if the time. |

Ok the chickhen from the guide didn't work.
Will my PSP brick If I update? Thanks, I guess I'll just live without CFW and wait for another xploit. ALso will my custom wave revert back to normal if I update? Thanks Edit: I was researching... If I could update safely.. Could the MoHH exploit work to let me downgrade back or a last allow homebrew. Everywhere I found this release I was not able to find out what the exploit even did. Do you think this is a possibilty? and can you tell me what the exploit does... Thanks Last edited by chickut123; 11-07-2009 at 11:23 AM.. |

@chickut123 if you update to an official firmware than you shouldn't brick and the custom wave should go away. Right now the Medal of Honor Heros exploit doesn't do anything yet. There was an eLoader for it in the works, but I don't think it was ever finished.

There is one way to fix it but I have never tried it myself so it could lead you down the cough ahemmm..."Yellow BRICK Road" but if you are a risktaker use a recovery flasher like a old hellcat one and flash a official 5.03 firmware from the load external firmware option.
Like i said its very dangerous and can brick so be careful |

Ok so I updated my 3000 to 6.10 no problems, so I guess I'll be good on that one, but
I found my old 1000!! I currently have 5.50 Gen-D2 on it and I love it. But as I said old PSP-1000. I have been having problems with my battery. I charged it all of the way, I'll go into a game and go like 10 min, then I get a battery low icon and it shuts off. I go back and forth with this happening until I'm able to quit the game. So I'm in the xmb and I go to battery information. It says I have 100%! Then I'll go back into my game, go about 5 min and the cycle starts over. Then it'll do some crazy stuff in the xmb with shutting off and the battery life % jumbles around. I've gone into that menu, have it say 100%, then shut off on low battery. Do I need a new battery or can I reformat it or something to fix it? Thanks in advance |

if you decide to sell your 3000 and buy another like a 2000 i would recommend buying a fat led pandora just so you have it i like pandorasales site$9.90 PSP Pandora Battery and Magic Memory Sticks || Custom PSP Firmware they also have extended life batteries and if you do get the led its easy to switch back and forth from pandora to regular just my opinion just make sure you get a fat because its compatible in both fat or slim plus they ship from florida so no overseas wait time i think it's 5-7 days for parcel post
