Never thought I would be posting issues in here...but oh well.
PSP Model: 1001
CFW: 5.00 m33-6
Ok, here we go. About a week ago I wanted to send my friend a game from my PSP to his via Ad-Hoc File Transfer 0.7 using game sharing. So I hit send via "Send (A.T.F.) in Ad-Hoc FT and my PSP gave me an error : "Failure to Initialize Network". Well, the green light was flashing, so it wasn't the switch. I figured it was just a glitch in the game sharing or something. I said whatever, and proceeded to put Ad-Hoc FT on my friends mem stick the old fashioned way, via PC. Same thing, except when I was hitting the regular "Send" instead of "Send (A.T.F)". WTF? Well, I just kind of ignored it. It didn't really bother me. I just copied and pasted the game via PC.
So, a few days ago, I wanted to download songs via GoEar. So I connected to my network, searched the band name, that completed easily enough. So I hit download, and its takes 4 seconds. I go, WTF, and it downloaded a .cfg file. Something like 934638.cfg, some random numbers. I say, whatever, it must be the .mp3 file. I download another song. Same thing. Again, WTF!
I also notice, that if I try to leave any homebrew app that utilizes wireless in any way, it will never exit. It says "Please wait" for eternity. But the funny thing is is that the PSP is not frozen. Torch's Hold plugin still works. The brightness will still change. Again, a forth WTF! And, just for kicks, I try the PSP web browser. Works fine. :Argh:
So now, I figure my PSP has issues. So I do the average m33 reinstall. Reupdate to m33-6. Same crap. Go to GEN. Same crap. Why?!?!
I can't figure it out. What should I do? I have heard of a plugin overload, but I have not had any other problems. I will try it without plugins and get back to this post.
I know its long, but those who know me know I like detail. You got details. If you need more, ask.
EDIT/UPDATE: Ok, tried em both without plugins, with improvement, but no dice. Ad-Hoc now gives me the "A connection error has occurred (80410702)" error now and GoEar allows me to preview songs again, but no downloading or transferring. Oh! And wireless using games allow me to exit again. :)
EDIT/UPDATE # 2:I forgot that GoEar needed a music folder. I deleted it a few days ago to make room for some ISOs. GoEar works. Half my problem solved.
EDIT/UPDATE # 3: OK, everything is doing what it was doing before without the plugins after I shut my PSP off fully. So, it appears I have to fully restart my PSP everytime I want to use wireless stuff. And Ad-Hoc's still not working...Grr.
