Memory stick problem.
Im not sure exactly how it happened but i cant acces my memory stick from my computer, i cant play music nor can i use the homebrews i just recently put on it. I have firmware 1.50 recently downgraded from 2.0. Is it possable that useing a homebrew game leaving the game on then puting it into sleep mode cause this to happen?
Is it possible that not spelling things right causes memmory sticks to die early?
What memmory stick is it?
Have you recently used it in another device?
Dipped it in water?
Used it as a toothpick?
Taken it out?
Been near magnents with it?
Try formatting it?
I have a SanDisk 256mb memory stick. No i haven't used it in anything else, dipped it in water, used it as a toothpick or put it near any magnets. I was playing a homebrew game put it on sleep, turned it back on, saved the game, pressed home, clicked yes went to music tryed to play a song, it played but when it finished it did not go to the next song. So i pressed select and relized that my memory stick was said to have no memory left so i turned my PSP off turned it back on and it said the same thing. I checked my saved data and there was nothing there when i had like 5 different emulator programs on it. I checked my music 5 were there but would not play and the other 34 songs were titled blank and also would not work. So im not sure what could have happened. The only possable reason is that because I left a emu game playing while it was on sleep that it caused my memory stick to crash. And if this is the reason why it happened I would apreciate it if anyone could tell me how to fix it.
reformat the MS, that should fix it, if not, then the homebrew killed it probably o.O
Reformat should work, but if it doesn't let us know what homebrew you went to sleep on.
converting files and moving them around on your pc might be the problem if there not showing up or playing correctly, may we all sugest reformating your MS(btw place all your data to your pc and then format, after that is finished try transfering your data back to your psp and see if it works okay now).
Ok, I got it working now. Re-formating made it work. Thanx everyone for the help.
