i searched the forum posts but couldnt find information matching what i am looking for so i am posting this if this issue has already been discussed then please just tell me where and i would be gratefull.
I live in the uk and i have got an imported US spec psp.
I spoke to someone at Sony UK technical support and discovered that when it comes to playing games over the infrastructure mode there are certain compatability issues.
With games made by Sony (i.e Twisted Metal Black) to play online you have to create a central station account with sony which cant be done with a US spec psp because it wont allow it. The only way you can do it is if you create an account by putting your ps2 online and using the same username and password. I was told this would work, can anyone confirm this?
The other problem is, does anyone know if i am going to have the same issue with other games i.e games made by EA etc. and if so is there any way around this?
I am a bit annoyed by this because the only difference i thought i would have with an imported PSP was the UMD DVD region locks. Maybe i didnt hear about this problem because i didnt look properly but i was not aware of any compatability issues with wireless gaming through infrastructure mode.
If anyone knows anything about this and can help me i would be very gratefull. Please post a reply here or email me directly at firstname.lastname@example.org, thanks.
