I recently purchased three new titles. They are Ridge Racer, World Tour Soccer and Rengoku. During gameplay there is a very noticeable glitch in the direct draw from the game engines of these three titles on my system. There seems to be lines (evenly spaced), running from top to bottom of the screen. I'm assuming that it is indeed a direct draw problem because it only happens in actual gameplay, and not in the cut-scenes of any UMD game, or UMD movie or video clip. All other games I own play properly (Wipeout Pure, Twisted Metal and Spiderman 2).
I am wondering if these titles (Ridge Racer, World Tour Soccer and Rengoku) share something in common in their programming or in their game engines that asks the PSP hardware to act or operate a certain way? Sort of like some PC titles use Direct X and others use Open GL. Some use a combination of 3d programming applications like these very cool PSP games.
I'm wondering if anyone else is experiencing any choppy, grainy or horizontal lines, while playing any of their games? Anyone with any ideas or comments, feel free to share their insight. Thanks
