Yes, as the title reads above. Or well, it's my brother's. But if I had written my brother's PSP, most of you wouldnt have clicked. So now that you're here, scroll down.
About a month ago, I downgraded my firmware from 2.0 to 1.5 successfully. A few weeks following, my brother got GTA: LCS for Christmas, so we were forced to upgrade back to 2.0 without any problems at all. Most recently, when my brother clicked on the memory stick in the main menu, white jarbled text on a black background similar to the screen that appears when downgrading appeared. Of course, I was freaked out, thinking that my PSP was bricked. However, it wouldnt turn on, which led to the conclusion that maybe it was just running low on battery. A few days later, I plugged it into the wall charger, and turned it on. And yes, it did turn on. However, it would not let me run GTA, it read "Need 2.0 firmware in order to play." or something of that matter. Yet, it was apparent that 2.0 was installed; the web browser and menu was 2.0. I went to the system info, and it read I had version 1.0 installed. Really freaky. I still had GTA in the slot, so I went to 2.0 Firmware Update. It wouldnt let me run it since I was low on battery, even though it was plugged into the wall outlet. I left it charging a few hours, and then came back to it and updated back to 2.0.
And ever since then (3 days), it has been working fine. Yet, I am scared that this menace may return. May anyone do me the favor of giving any feedback as to what mind-boggling experience I have gone through in the past week? Feliz Navidad!
