browsing with DSL router
ok i gots a quick question. Is a DSL Router exactly the same as any other wireless router? AND can i browse the internet from my PSP if i set up a wireless network on my compter (no wireless stuff in it that i kno of),but it set one up, if i use that as my access point?
GOT ANOTHER QUESTION TOO! do i need broadband internet to do this...czuse i got dial-up (live in the boondoks).
SORRY ABOUT ALL THE QUESTIONS...BUT NEW TO THE PSP INTERNET STUFF
sorry i dot know anything about this i just go to my local cafe and use there wirless network
No you can't, you will need a wireless connection throught an AP (acess point) Like a store with wifi, or your router... To acess internet, wired connections are not possible unless you have a PCI Card that acts like an acess point... But Regarding to Dial up, if you had a wireless router or AP, you would still connect, but the internet would be increadibly slow...
If you have a wireless connection setup in your house you can connect to it even if you dont have acess to an internet connection but you can only visit places on you own network...
I have a belkin wireless g router but I only have a dail-up connection
I also have software that generates webpages based on the things I have on my computer (I use it for wirelessly transfering data to and from my psp)
I can still visit that site but I cant go to say google
And about sharing a dail-up connection. I've been trying to figure out a way to do that for some time but have thus far been unable to.
dial up would be too slow for gaming
I use to have damn Dial-up, now I have freakin Sadilite. Well at least when a download starts it starts at around 150-160kbps, then drops some where between 20 and 80kbps.
I which I could get DSL. Damn you SBC and you damn "black zones".
ok i dont want it for gaming though. i want it for the internet. and someone already told me that it would work... but i would need a special router
