I'm currently sitting here with a predicament. I have a 2.0 PSP, but I want to buy MGA2, and potentially a few other 2.6 games. The question is should I upgrade to 2.6, or downgrade to 1.5. I currently have a lot of homebrew I frequently use, but I also have GTA. Now I'm pretty sure that most of my homebrew will run with the GTA exploit (I use the TIFF one because I don't like having to carry around the game I'm playing plus GTA), but I'm pretty sure if I upgrade to 2.6, I won't ever be able to downgrade. If I go with the 1.5 option, I believe there's something that will let me load higher firmware games, though I'm not sure if it covers 2.6 games. The only problem with this method is I remember there being something bad about downgrading a PSP and it being unable to run some certain programs that only "virgin" 1.5's could. For those with 1.5's that've been downgraded, are there any problems or things I should look out for? And for you 2.6 owners, are there any huge benefits aside from RSS between 2.0 and 2.6? Any thoughts on this are appriciated.
