auto install good or bad
i am really new at this stuff. and at first was so scared of using homebrew.
we've all heard about psp brickin.
so that kinda put me off. so as time went by i just ignored the scene.
the psp is just pure eye candy. when u first have it. when u take it out the box the first time it blows u away. all new and shiny.
so even if u know about homebrew u not gonna mess with it in anyway.
unless u r a expert at workin out how new stuff work then it becomes a adventure.
so to my point at first i was scared i had umd games but cos it's a new console u know the story hardly any new stuff to play.so u buy the same old remakes of game u already own.
some r really great games when u r on the move and wanna indulge. and some just suck period.
so anyway i started surfing around and found all these web sites about psp and homebrew. and at that time there was'nt any auto-loaders except eloader.
thats only 1 i knew at that point so i go with that.
after having ago and trying it.
i thought it was great.
then i tried another app but this had no auto load and it did not work
yet in the comments loads of people said how great it was. so i had to start again which meant reading the instructions and opening files in my psp and altering bits of text in con fig files.and u know the rest.
my point being is that it forced me to learn about my psp and undestand how something work and what i did wrong and how to fix small things that is.
but if i used a auto installer all the time and it did everything for me then i would always be in the dark about these things.
so what do u think.
so if u want homebrew then use it the easiest way possible if not then learn how to use it propely or don't!!! easy as that
Yep, i reckon its better to do things the normal way by installing it yourself rather than use the autoinstaller, because the more you get to know about the PSP the more you can use it too its full potential.
thanks for the good reply bling. i was just tryin to convey the fact that if more people got into homebrew and the scene got even bigger is it a good thing or not cos the fear of using homebrew on such a nice console is what holds people back
People should know that there is really nothing to be scared of when trying homebrew on the psp because if you read up on how to do it, it is actually incredibly easy to install and only makes the psp even better ;)
