First off, I have done my homework with regard to answering this question and have searched the forums to no avail, so if this has already been answered or addressed then my most sinceree apologies.
On my USA 1.5 PSP I'm running NesterJ and SNES9x and of course, see the corrupted icons. A few weeks ago a way of hiding these icons was released which involves renaming the folders. Rename the "real" eboot folder to have more than 32 characters, and the "dummy" eboot folder to a truncated name of the "real" folder, like "Snes9~1." To avoid confusion there are even several programs that will automatically rename the folders to hide the corrupted icons, and I've tried almost all of them.
But no matter what I do, I can't get the emulators to actually start once I've renamed the folders. The icons hide quite nicely, but once I try to load them, it crashes with the "80020130" error. I tried loading with no UMD in the drive and renaming it in several ways, but no success. Have I missed something? Help would be appreciated! Thank you in advance.
