Wifi connects only once
Alright, so whenever I try to connect to my wifi network through my PSP, I am able to only make one solid connection. However, every attempt after the first will not work. If I am disconnected, get out of range, or just attempt a second+ time to the wifi, it is refused. This problem only occurs on my Zyxel prestige 334w b/g router, and not on any other access point.
I've tried creating a static, I've tried reserving IP, I've tried allowing the MAC address, I've tried open, WPA, and WEP. The same thing happens, time and again. The only way to resolve it is to repower the router. Then it will accept the first connection, and nothing further.
BTW I hope this is the right forum. Sorry if it's too router-specific. Any advice?
sounds very router specific, esp since you've tested it with other access points and cycling your router cures the issue.
I guess the first obvious question is - do you have the latest firmware on your router? By the sounds of it you know what you are doing, so it's not looking good...
I updated to the newest firmware which was released a week ago. No go. Someone on broadbandreports forum said that they resolved it by forcing B protocol instead of Auto (B/G). This is far from ideal, but it works... only problem is, I have a laptop that uses G on the same router..
I guess I have a crappy router.
