Here's my situation:
I recently purchased a PSP from Toys "r" Us, only to find 3 dead pixels and various scratches OUT OF THE BOX. This was actually the second PSP I had recieved from the store because of my previous PSP which had dust under the screen. So I go back to the store for a third exchange and I am told my problems are too minor for an exchange... The employees simply "couldn't see" the white pixels on my black background (I guess the dots are small...) and I was told some scratches were not approved of an exchange.
By now I'm pretty pissed, and there's no days left of my instore warranty (not that I could have gotten an exchange from them). I'm just dying to have a perfect PSP, or close enough to it that I don't actually notice the problems and that got me thinking. I thought, "why not buy another PSP from a store with a more friendly return policy such as Target, or Best Buy and simply switch the new PSP with the one I have right now". Now I know this doesn't seem like the most legal thing to do in the world, but it seems very possible, and considering I'm not exactly stealing anything, it doesn't seem like a bad idea.
I come to this forum to ask for some advice on this plan, or different suggestions. Has anyone ever done this before? What stores have a friendly return policy that gives full money back for opened PSPs? Any help would be GREAT! Thank you!
