Yea, its pretty much the safest and easiest part of this tutorial.

Nah, I never made the second part because the UMD door is kind of hard to remove and a lot of people would end up breaking it.
No. I mean the little clip things on the side of the LCD brace. It holds the screen to it. I was just pushing on those without lifting. The second part would help because I thought I was going to have to replace my drive before I found the problem of what was causing it to not read disks. The small connector for the drive was pushed in too far or something.

How do you actually remove the Dust in the LCD Screen. I have a few dusts and it's getting pretty annoying when I play my games or movies...Do I have to just do Step 1 & 2 and clean it off or something?

And how can I fix my Start, Select, Music Note, and Brightness buttons? Like I have to press harder just to press them, but my Home button works perfectly...like, when I click my Start, Select, etc buttons, I don't feel a click every time I click it, but for my Home button I feel a click, I want that to happen to my Start, Select, etc buttons...any help?

To remove dust I suggest you use compressed air or a cloth. As for the buton bar just rearrange it.

Compressed Air? But do I have to remove the backlight and the LCD just to get the dust? or is there another way...and what kind of cloth do you recommend?

Where can I get compressed air?? Sorry, I'm kind of stupid with these things.

I was replacing my DC in and I accidentally ripped the entire connector off the motherboard. It seemed to have only been held down by some sort of adhesive and there was no evidence of solder. Unfortunately, my PSP no longer turns on. Do you know how to reconnect it? I tried tape but that just wouldn't hold it. Thanks in advance...

no you dont have to remove the screen. use a lense cloth like the one that came with the psp. goto any computer store(best buy, comp usa) to get compressed air.

I want to remove my faceplate and fix the d pad. I just bought a screwdriver set and the smallest screwdriver it had in it was a 1.4mm one. I cant seem to get the screws off my psp with this =/. Anyone know where I can get a good #000 screwdriver besides hardware stores. Think walmart would have one?

I got mine from walmart. It was a yellow 6 piece case with 4 flathead's and 2 screwdrivers. Only about $7 and its REALLY good and performs great. I prefer it. Matter of fact, I found a picture of it on Google by typing in Stanley 66-052. Just look for this at Walmart.

Went to two different walmarts and neither had the screwdriver =/ Is there any other way to fix d pad problems without opening the psp? When I hold the d pad button that is broken down for like a mintue it will work fine for a little while then stop working again.

To the left. At first its hard though. After that its fairly easy. Don't strip any screws either.

The right button on the d-pad will only work if I put alot of pressure on it and I cant just tap it like the other buttons. Whats werid is if I hold the button down for a little awhile it will work fine after that for like a minute then will be like it is now. I was thinking if I hold the button down for a long while it would fix it for good but I dont have something small and heavy enough to put on it to do it while I sleep.

Most games it isnt too much of a problem but its almost impossible for me to play my favorite game lumines since you cant use the analog and holding the right button down will mess you up alot in puzzle games.
