Only missing how to put everything back on its place , and you should explain better how to avoid damaging the clasp.

P.S. What should I do if after I put everything back on its place I have extra pieces? Can I sell them on eBay?

You shouldn't have any extra pieces...

Anyway, I suppose you could.

Hi guys, I thought I'd throw this in here as it seems the place to put it.

My PSP constantly crashes and the problem seems to be a hardware issue around the top of the machine, it crashes far more often with he USB plugged in and when it's mid-crash, normally goes single colour then a vertical line moves across screen from left to right, by tapping the top of the machine the screen will distort even further.

I have two options, have a look inside, or blag a receipt from Gamestation or similar, then take it back and demand an exchange, I'd like to try to fix it myself, but once it's in bits what should I be looking for???

Just exchange it for a new one man. The problem seems more as a defective problem. Will probably be un fixable.

I was hoping this guide would be updated to include a more complete tear down since I want to use it to permanently fix my IR port since it is having issues.

Also it seems I will be replacing my memory stick reader/wifi board soon and I was hoping to have a complete guide and since this is the closest I've found it seens like this is the place to hope for more. Ah well, I will try to take pics when I do the replacement and putting things back together since it seems there are others who would like them.

Rats, now I'm having issues with the backlit on my PSP. I hope it was just the part I installed but somehow I doubt it since I think it is the backlight on the screen.

Why are the screws so hard to get out! My screwdriver keeps slipping, even though its a #00 like you said. My screws aren't stripped either.

which screw do you mean by "the lower left one"? im having issues with mine. it keeps wanting to point to the upper left (when looking at screen). also, the d-pad sometimes also functions as the lower left on the analog. help please? thanks.

edit: k sorry. found out which one. (mind making it clearer for future use?) it was in your tips and problems thread. i think i screwed up that hole in the faceplate. how can i fix that? thats the only one where the screw doesnt go in. T-T

edit (again): sorry, im a bit hasty on my posts. the screw stays in the slot and now the stick works. (for photo viewing at least.)

Your really need to put some energy into twisting it off the first time you remove them.

You can either buy a new on/off switch and install it to the powerboard (which is pretty hard)

Or just throw a few more bucks in and buy the powerboard and install that. (Which is easy and self explanatory)

If I have time, Ill probably add that to this thread since its a big problem.

The MAC address is under System Settings > System Information. Why the hell did you open the PSP up for it?

He could have spoofed it, but then the router would have reported the correct one.

Anyway, do you have any images you could share? It would help a lot.

y I open the whole thing? Cause my board is a replaced one. Apparently the guy who changed the board did not change the mac address for me.

"connection error 80410702". Those who had problem will using game sharing will be familiar with this error. It is cause by the mac address shown on "system info" is not the same as the one on the WiFi chip.

Back my problem. I disassemble the hardware to get the correct mac address, so I can sync the mac address with the "system info" in the PSP.

It can be that your disc reader (what was it again...? LED? No... um...) is broken, or it can be that you messed something else up in the UMD drive while disassembling/reassembling your PSP.

You could've used the wifi mac address fixer that noobz made.

http://www.noobz.eu/joomla/news/wifi...ess-fixer.html

It detects the wifi board and changes it accordingly. And yes, it does work, I've tried it myself.
