If you restored the router to default settings then there probably is no security setup at all. Restoring to default, with most vendors, is plain-vanilla config w/o security and default SSID.
If you restored the PSP to default settings, then you need re-enter the WPA passphrase that you were using before.
If you don't remember the passphrase, you might want to try logging into your router and check the "security" tab or settings. You may need to re-enter the passphrase.

You need to type in the ip address for your router in your comptuer browser and that should bring up your router setting, From there you should be able to change or turn off you wep key.
I typed in the ipaddress and it asked for a password. Could the passord be the item number on the box?Or could it be the MAC address?

type admin in your login name and nothing in your password.

normaly it would be no name and a password of admin
Depends on the vendor...but if we're talking about Linksys...the above is correct.Originally Posted by delight1
