Hey, I was wondering if anyone has encountered any games that do this? First, Let me explain what happened...I was playing Initial D without any problems, all my saves were fine. Then a friend of mine online who also has the game wanted to show me one of his replays. He sends me some of his save files so I can check it out.
I back up my ID save folder onto my harddrive. I then place his save data onto my memory stick, however, his data won't load. I figure his data may have just been messed up or something so I delete it and replace my save folder back ontot he memory stick.
Initial D starts up says "checking memory stick" it goes successfully like it found data. Then after pressing start (where it loads the actual data) it says "loading data from memory stick...". After that an error pops up that says "the data on memory stick could not be loaded, do you want to check the memory stick again? yes/no" I check it several times but still doesn't work.
It's as if Sega incorporated a means of not allowing the save to be backed up onto a harddrive in an effort to avoid what happened w/ the GTA eloader. Has anyone else experienced a game that disallowed you from backing up the save data on your harddrive then placing it back on your memory stick?
