Backstory: My PSP was bricked until recently, when I purchased a new 1.5 motherboard. This problem started immediately after installing said mobo.
Whenever I turn on my PSP, there is a waiting time of about 10-15 seconds in which it just sits there not loading before finally booting to the XMB. This same thing happens whenever loading any homebrew as well, the only solution being booting homebrew from IRShell. Let me be clear: it is not actually loading slowly, it is just sitting there for 15 seconds before loading.
Also, new versions of Devhook will not load any games whatsoever for me, though I can boot to different firmwares. Even games that are supposed to work with no UMD inserted just shut off my PSP, even though I can take the memory stick out and it works perfectly on another 1.5 PSP. I think that my UMD drive is broken or has a short in the cable, but even people with broken UMD drives can load no UMD games! Maybe it being disconnected is different, though.
I am stuck, any help would be hugely appreciated...
