There is a newer version available.

Please realize that it may be buggy and some games/apps may not work. This is why there will be updates available in the future. If you find any bugs, please report them in this thread. Thanks!
As you all should know by now, firmware version 2.0 includes a web browser. This web browser will be capable of using JavaScript, just like the WipEout browser could. However, this browser actually has a built-in address bar, as well as a Favorites menu and a changeable homepage. Many of us will be giving up our 1.50 homebrew for the plethora of new features in firmware version 2.0. Of course, most of us will miss our homebrew, at least a little bit. As many of us remember, we played simple homebrew games, such as Tetris, in the WipEout browser. However, the WipEout browser needed to be connected to the internet to be connected to a DNS server which would spoof the URL. Since the v2.0 browser will not need to be connected to a DNS server, a page on the PSP itself can be set up as the homepage. This will allow that page to be accessed entirely offline, with no need for a router or hotspot.
Now all of this comes together. I have saved the JavaScript games we used to play in the WipEout browser in days of old. I have also obtained new JavaScript games and applications, and, when neccessary, modified their code to fit on the PSP's screen. I have made a portal which will be downloaded onto the PSP for easy access to these games and applications.
Although I will probably add more items before v2.0 is released, the current portal, as it stands, contains the following software:
Games:
p4wn chess game - Play the classic strategy game of chess against your PSP!
Blackjack - Play Blackjack, a well-known card game, right here on your PSP.
Tetris - Play classic Tetris anywhere from your PSP.
Battleship - Play Battleship against your PSP.
Minesweeper - Play the classic Windows game, Minesweeper, on your PSP.
Pong - Play the arcade game that started it all, Pong. (NEW!)
IM & Email:
WebAIM - Chat with your buddies on AOL Instant Messenger!
*Requires an Internet connection.
**Optimized for better use on PSP.
MSN eMessenger - Communicate with friends, family, and colleagues on MSN Messenger!
*Requires an Internet connection.
Mail2Web - Check your email from your PSP!
*Requires an Internet connection.
**Optimized for better use on PSP.
Applications
Calendar - Record all your important dates and take them with you on your PSP!
Memo Pad - Type and save notes and tasks on your PSP!
Address Book - Type your contacts and their information and save it onto your PSP.
Update Feature - The portal can be updated to a new version without even having to connect the PSP to a PC.
*Requires an Internet connection.
Remeber, unless otherwise stated, all of these applications will be run offline.
The last program added will be in red.
If there are any other applications and games (sadly, I won't be able to do emulators) that you'd like to see in this portal, tell me now so that they'll be in the portal for its next release.
I have noticed that some people are confused as to what this portal thing is, so I have decided to write up an FAQ.
Q: Will I be able to use this portal anywhere, or will I have to connect to the internet to use it?
A: I will make the portal available for download. You will be able to put it on your memory stick so that you can access it without having to connect to the internet. http://www.vgspot.com/downloads/pspwebportal/index.html is only meant to function as a preview of sorts. You will NOT have to connect to the internet.
Q: Will I be able to use any other homebrew with this portal?
A: Not the same homebrew that you used before (emulators in particular), but I will make an effort to port some of the popular homebrew games.
And so ends my little FAQ. I might add a little more to it later.
Willing to help?
If you're good with JavaScript, you might want to help me out a little. If you can find a JavaScript version of Bejeweled and get me the source code or if you can make a Bejeweled game from scratch, I will be happy to put it into my portal.
You might also want to check out our sister portal, http://mmspeace.topcities.com/.
IMPORTANT NOTICE
I messed up in the README.txt. You can only have one slash after file: in the address, so you type file:/index.html. All further downloads will have the latest README.txt included.
