Ok first i'll tell you what happened as I am stumped as what could have caused this.
A friend came round to play a multiplayer game with me through devhook, we had both bought new games and only just backed them up. He was doing something and told me to set the game up. As i was mounting the game in devhook his PSP just switched off. Now, when ever we try to turn it on it stays on a black screen for about 15 seconds, then switches off.
He has a 1.5 PSP with HarleyG's custom firmware so we thought we would be able to fix it by updating throught he recovery menu. So we put the 2.0 update on the psp while in recovery mode, then ran it.
All that happens after we run it is the update runs, but has no text on the screen. The battery is fully charged and the charger is plugged in. Before trying toe 2.0 update, we tried the 1.5 just to see if it would allow us to just install over it self. The thing is there was font , like it should be with the 1.5 update version, but as we was already on 1.5 we couldn't do that.
We've tried everything from switching memory sticks, no memory sticks, no UMD, anything you could think of.
Will it be smart to run a higher upgrade version. I'm kind of angry at him because he is blaming me for it. But i'll say this again. I Was on devhook while this happened!!
I'll post some pics in a few minutes.
OK Pics are up
This is when i first load the eboot update, as you see, there is no text. Any answer to this?
This is the screen after you press the X button, if you press O it would normally take me to the XMB menu. But as this psp isn't working it just gets a black screen.
