I have a TA-082 2.71 HEN-D PSP, and this is a problem I've been having for a while. I think it may have even been happening from the beginning, though I don't remember quite clearly. Usually whenever I'm transferring files from my computer to the PSP, I'll get a message from Windows saying there was an error copying files. Then if I try to browse the memory stick, the window appears blank. As in, if I click a folder or click back, there will be nothing. I then close the winow and check My Computer and see that "Removable Disk" is still there, but if I enter it, the window is still blank. Sometimes, rather than giving me an error message, the "Removable Disk" window will just close by itself. Then when I go to My Computer to access the memory stick again, the window is just blank.
I have to exit out of USB mode on the PSP and re-enter it before I can access the memory stick again. I also find that the file I was transferring is in the folder I was transferring it to and, that Windows says the file size is correct, but I am unsure if it's true, as the copying error happens pretty quickly into the transfer. When I was copying HEN-D and the 2.71 Downgrader, this error did not occur at all, but it does happen when I transfer the UPDATE.PBP (formerly EBOOT.PBP). I was thinking this copying problem may be why I get the "error decrypting data.psp" message when running the downgrader on the PSP; that the UPDATE.PBP on the memory stick may be a messed up file.
I have not attempted formatting the memory stick, as I didn't know if it would mess up my PSP after having run HEN-D and the idstoragechange from the Downgrader. This error happens after transferring some other files I tried, such as a folder of pictures, so I don't think it's just that the source file is messed up. Any and all help would be greatly appreciated on this matter.
