As well all know right now DS is selling far better than the PSP. PSP has been out quite a while and it seems that there are only about 0.5 games a week making the total 30 (17 being lanuch titles) whats sad is about 95% of this is ports.. making Metal Gear Acid and Lumines And Death Jr. the only non-port games... being a port isnt a bad thing but u shouldnt just port every game like that... especially if theres alot of racers. Sony could easily get out of this sutation when FF7 comes out for PSP and GTA: LCS comes out in amercia. but will that be enough?
With Nintendogs getting non-gamers to buy a DS will PSP even have a fair match even with media capabilties? Another thing sony could do is support homebrew and just somehow lock out ISO loaders and allow unsigned out to be on the psp (controlled of course) with either a "Homebrew BOOT UMD" or some kind of firmware upgrade every once in a while that allows certain emus and homebrew to played. DS on the other hand.. you have to buy a flash cardrigde.. but thats really just about it after that you can play just about any DS homebrew without worring it will go away.
The games.. PSP has ALOT of hype... but it seems that sony just doesnt care.. there wer about 100 games shown on E3 2004. its August 2005 and only 30 are out... (17 being launch titles) if they are going to do ports they should at least have Polls or let us tell them which games we actualy want on psp because releasing Kingdom Hearts PSP (when no one wants it right now isnt going to be a good idea.) If sony ever does get in a "Red Zone Area" they have FF7 Crisis Core and GTA:LCS for a wild card.
