New or old PSP?
I have a PSP now, its the old model and hasnt been played on in over a year. Is it hard to upgrade it to the newest OE firmware? I havent been watching how things work since I stopped using it, but now with GOW out and CC:FFVII coming i want to start playing again.
Also I know that a new slimmer version came out, should I get that one or just keep my old one? I have a friend wanting to buy my old one so I was thinking of getting the new one. Whats the pros/cons of the new one when it comes down to regular use and the homebrew scene.
Any help is possible i greatly appreciated.
Differences with homebrew...None really (with the use of time machine). The main difference with the psp's is that that the slim has video output, which would be pretty nice with GoW and FF7:CC, and the slim is capable of running skype while the original fat psp can't. I would suggest getting a slim.
I've had my psp for over a year now, and the analog nub is getting old and worn out, and sticking, and its just breaking down slowly but surely, affecting gameplay =(. So if you have the chance to get a brand new fresh slim then I'm sure your experience with GoW and FF7:CC will be that much better with fresh buttons and nub.
if you just wanna play gow or ff7cc or any other games that need a higher version homebrew, to upgrade the homebrew to the latest version is my only advice, if you dont mind skype and tv-out.
of course if you have spare money to afford a slim, just buy it~
By the way, OE = M33 now. So upgrade to that one.
Well the money is not a problem, and TV-out is something that sounds great. Skype I dont care much about. So I guess I will sell my old and buy a slim one.
What else do I need besides the PSP Slim itself? Does it come with a TV-out cable or do I need to get that myself? also do i need a pandora battery? and the magic memory card?
Pandora is worthless on slim.
Dark_AleX released Despertar del Cementerio. Which is a universal unbricker.
Now there is Time Machine which is currently at 0.1.
This allows what the Mod chip did, And can boot from firmware dumps on the memory stick, And can load an edited version of 1.5 on the slim (allowing 1.5 kernel access)
This version supports:
A mix up of 3.40 and 1.50 and 3.60 kernel modules, For 1.5 on slim.
Full 3.60 M33.
There is a guide to making one here.
Hope I helped.
