If such a thing were to exist, would you purchase it?
I enjoyed the ride in the homebrew scene with the "Sony Vs. Homebrew Devs", but DAX pretty much conquered it now. I used to get a rush (stupid, I know) out of learning about the new DevHook releases, XFlash, CFW and its new features -- to see the PSP go in directions it wouldn't have gone had the devs not poured hours into cracking it.
I remember the day when DAX released DAXZISO, the first ISO compression tool and player, and when the considered "impossibles" like an N64 emulator and a full speed GBA emulator came true.
We've pretty much pushed the PSP to its functional limits. There are a few awesome games and applications released here and there, but many of things feel as if it has already been done, and in many cases, done better.
So now I'm thinking of the PSP2...
Sony will probably have higher priorities on the security front if they decide to release the PSP2.
But anyway, would you purchase a PSP2?
As for me, I will probably sit out and wait until it gets cracked :).
