lol limewire dosn't give viruses and spyware :PI remember when I was a kid and dad would backup all our Disney movies because our VCR would eat the VHSs. My friends would come over and we'd watch Aladdin and they would freak because we were pirates(we had more then 1 copy of all our movies, hence the VHS eater).
Now that I'm older I see the same people with a 100 GB hard drive full of music and they may own 10 cds. I'm and computer tech and the first thing I tell people when I fix there computer is to remove limewire to stop the virus/spyware and the response is always the same "Well how will I get my music" my response is always the same "Go buy it stop stealing it."
Piracy is getting worse as time goes on because people are ok with this. From PSP ISO to the mechanic that steals the toonie out of my dash(yes I'm Canadian:))
Morals are hard to come by this days. I love to play my backups because if my original is broken I have to shell out $10-$50 dollars for a new one. If my backup breaks it's $0-$5 dollars. Example my car was broken into and people stole all my CDs, all original. Now I'm out $300 dollars worth of my collection(not a good example but it still pisses me off). The thieve could be classified as pirates. But for the most part running a backup of what you own is still illegal.
If you're scared of getting caught DON'T DO IT!
