Default Opera Mini on PSP

What you will need: PSPKVM, Opera Mini files, a wifi connection.

I personally find this browser much better, and it is faster than the default, and displays JavaScript enabled pages MUCH better. You can even use Meebo and log in.

Once you have played the PSPKVM and Opera Mini files onto your PSP, launch PSPKVM and locate your Opera Mini files. Open them with O and it will install them as an application onto your main menu. Now that it is installed, DON'T LAUNCH IT YET! It wont work. First, go down to Network Setup and make sure you are connected to your network. Now go down to Opera Mini, but first hit Start. Go to select preferred device, and hit O. Make sure that J2ME Standard(480*272) is selected. Hit start again to save. Now press O to launch Opera Mini. The bottom left option is declared by Select, and the bottom right option is declared by Start if you haven't figured this out already. If you can't figure out or can't get used to the typing options when trying to type in an address, I suggest you navigate to a site like google and click the text box, which will open up an easier typing box from the built in emulator.

Yup, it works flawlessly. PSPKVM is one of the great overlooked homebrews that people don't care enough to try. It's an amazing homebrew, and there's many other online applications programmed in Java J2ME/J2PE.

On PSPKVM, you must navigate to your files. Meaning after you click Find Applications, and install from ms0:/, it is basically a file browser from there.

I used this and was impressed by how well it worked...
One thing I didn't like was the fact that the keyboard was a pain to use.

It works perfectly on my slim. The only thing I don't like, but would need geting used to is the typing. Other than that, it's pretty awesome.

Seems pretty cool. Shame it can only render the 1 font. Is this a fault of opera mini or the java VM?

Absolutely ROCKS!
Pages load atleast 10x faster (even with images and javascript) than the default webbrowser and controls are very intuitive too including the GUI.

In config.ini of PSPKVM:

Spoiler for changes:

Unhash/enable:
1) com.pspkvm.inputmethod = sony-osk
2) com.pspkvm.acceptcross = y

Changes to Keymap:

SHIFT means L or R button being held.

Spoiler for changes:

UP - UP
DOWN-DOWN
LEFT - LEFT
RIGHT - RIGHT

NUM2 - ANALOG UP
NUM4 - ANALOG LEFT
NUM6 - ANALOG RIGHT
NUM8 - ANALOG DOWN

Changes in Opera Mini:

Spoiler for Changes:

1) Disable show overview in Opera Mini.
2) Set Font size to Small.

Hope this helps everyone.
