I was posting in the thread where someone says that after Windows checking his drives for consistency, he lost 20MB from his memory stick. I was going to check my memory stick for this too, but I figured that my memory stick pro duo to memory stick pro converter was downstairs and I didn't feel like getting it. Lazy me. :)
Anyway, I figured I would just put the Memory Stick Pro Duo in my laptop's Memory Stick Pro reader. I've heard that they're the same format, just a different size, and that they could easily be removed from the opposite kind of drive. So I put my memory stick in. On my laptop, nothing happened. I figured I'd try to push it in a little further with something. I did, and still had no luck with the memory stick being read. Now I just figured I'd take it out by pushing on it a little bit with something. No luck. I tried shaking the card out of the laptop. Still no luck. I tried putting double-sided tape on my 32MB stick to pry out my 256MB stick. No dice. "NOOOOOOOOOOO!!!" I thought to myself.
I wouldn't give up yet. I got a piece of cardboard and cut a strip of it just big enough to fit in the memory stick reader. I put double-sided tape out it. With a little effort, the memory stick came out! My card reader and memory stick were saved! :)
Then, just after typing the title of this post, I found my MS Pro Duo to MS Pro converter. ;)
