I downgraded my firmware the other day and got really excited about all of the potential that homebrew had, so I downloaded S9XTYL and plugged in Mortal Kombat II (because i looove mortal kombat). But anyway, I noticed that the gameplay is choppy as a mofo and delayed all of my button presses, even after optimizing the settings, using a frame skip, setting the processor use to 333MHz and all of that great stuff.
Bummer! But then I tried the WIFI jukebox because I think the concept is great. For whatever reason, it didn't work, even after fooling around for 2 hours with turning off my firewalls, configuring my firewalls, changing the Access Point from WPA to WEP, searching the forums for anyone who had similar problems (without luck, no less), getting the latest version of the software, etc.
Now I agree that I'm just a whiny B!tC)( that needs to get over himself, but all "if you don't like it, why don't you code it yourself" comments aside, is anyone else disillusioned by the Homebrew scene? I mean, really, after all of the hype and BS that 1.5 owners have put us former 2.0 users through, one would think it'd be at least a little better than it is now.
But really, I just hope someone can prove me wrong, and if there is a homebrew program that will blow my mind, someone mention it on here. please!
