Ok, for some reason, my 1.50 PSP can't install custom backgrounds if they are past 250 x 162 so I can't use 300 x 170 backgrounds. I figured I should upgrade to 2.00 then downgrade back to 1.50, ya know, to sorta "reset" my firmware. Now I put in all of the downgrade files (MPH YOU RULE) in thier right places and when I started the 2.00 EBOOT, when it reached 99% it gave me the "Update failed. Please contact bla bla bla bla" message. I though my PSP was bricked I was like OH S**T but it wasn't.
Anyway when the message came up I just turned off my PSP and it was a 2.00 when I turned it back on.
Has this happened to anyone else?
Thats whats supposed to happen
Yes, it's supposed to happen when your downgrading.
This happened when I was UPgrading.
It might be a byproduct of not restoring System Defaults before begining the upgrade process.
