Damn straight. And with a cheap $10 cable I can output the video from my iPod to any TV.
So basically all someone can do now with Flash in the update is watch silly internet ads...great. Not. Yet another worthless update with a savegame syscall swap-around.

RAM limitations probably....although if they get slammed enough on blogs and forums then they might take another stab at Flash since everything nowadays outside of internet ads is being coded in Flash 7+.

prolly just the syscalls...that was the issue with 2.6...

prolly with 3.0 they'll have everything nice and patched...but it'd take GPS and PS1 anyday over homebrew.

No, GTA savegame exploit is patched and always will be. Sorry, but I was right. All those who disagreed can now cry in their shame. :)

They can't do anything that will break user's 'legitimate' GTA savegames or they will get another backlash the likes of which they've already seen with their little 'rootkit' debacle.

Yeah and as far as homebrew goes ima get that Datel PassMe ripp off with that 4GB HDD for only 180 on my DS. Sure its not as powerful but the interface of the apps are alot nicer on the DS side typically.

So? They can still fix the exploit without messing up other savegames. You seem to misunderstand how much control they have.

Yeah, if you want to watch a movie on a 1.5 x 1.5 screen its great. It's not like psp came with support for the nearly the same format mp4 as the ipod video anyway... or like it has full resolution and speed divx support...

Anyway, back on topic, the update sounds to be about as fast as it would be on a 222 mhz computer and with even less support. Add that in with the new RSS stream save function seems to be complicated to perform if it even works correctly. Since this ends homebrew support, I would say that you have some serious cajones too upgrade. What are you even thinking to trade in homebrew ability to watch homestar?

Has anyone even mentioned the key mapping for flash games anyway? That would be more interesting to those considering this unlike myself.

manaox2 watch a movie on an iPod and you will understand. Plus for 300USD you get 30GB of storage the best you could do with that price on PSPs is the PSP and a 1GB card. And the iPod conversion process is alot faster.

The firmware will check if the game is GTA. It will then make a modification to the memory to disallow the savegame to be loaded. Simple as that.

Let's not forget that I'm basing 'it does not work' on the fact that a couple of users said it showed as corrupted data.

It doesnt show up as corrupt data it gets loaded as corrupt data. And your idea is piss poor I will wait till someone who actually has worked on these things and can see what is really going on

OK, then I am not sure if it is fixed. Either way, it is not hard for them to fix. Why can't you get it through your ****ing head that the firmware can simply patch the exploit by modifying the memory? It's not piss poor. It just sounds so simple, which is because I wouldn't be able to explain EXACTLY how they'd do it. This is just the basic idea of how it'd be done.

Really really hope it's wrong, though. :(

Actually, it did. Movies and TV Shows I've ripped for my PSP play flawlessly on my iPod.
And the iPod IS the better movie player simply because for $10 you can hook it up to any TV. It's easier carrying around a video iPod with about 20 DVD movies on it than it is dragging around a PSP and a bunch of memorysticks.
Alse, I can jump from one movie/show to another and come back to a movie right where I left it.

I know more about it than you, and yet you seem to walk around here as if you have high intellectual powers. I can't explain it in full because:

1. I do not have the source code of the PSP firmware
2. I have not studied exactly how the firmware loads games

Due to these facts, it'd be impossible for me to tell you exactly how.
