WoW through pvnc
Alright I know this sounds strange, but I'm working on a UI mod for world of warcraft that overlays the entire 3d image with a few simple action buttons to cut down on what needs to be read by PVNC. My intended result was to be able to raid whilst sitting on my couch, playing my PSP. The trouble is that the interface keeps disappearing, showing the world, and lagging my PSP to hell. This doesn't happen on the PC screen though, it works perfectly on my monitor. I'm no VNC expert, so I was wondering if anyone had experience with anything similiar and may be willing to help.
in my experience the VNC protocol has lots of odd problems transferring 3d info from server to client. i tried a similar project once with star wars galaxies, except just from laptop to desktop and had similar problems.
Can it work with EverQuest 2? Or City of Heroes?
Oh my... That reminds me of an ex-boyfriend who logged into his computer via a work computer (a not so smart idea, given where he worked and the network he was on) to check his sales progress in EQ2. It was slow and (since the work computers were made to, umm, work) the local machine he was on had horrific rendering time.
I can just *see* someone in their back yard doing something similar with the PSP while their game machine is on in, say, the den. Sweet lord ; )
Ahh the abuses... hehe.
really he wants to play while he poops.
