I am almost positive you can set up photoshop to do mass image editing. Although I don't know how to do it, you could look it up.

NO, but I'd love to find a program that does this too.

As of right now, I resize or crop all my pics by hand to the PSP's 480x272 format size. I really can't imagine a batch program doing it as carefully as I do. There's nothing like the personal touch.

If you don't mind the language,

http://www.vector.co.jp/soft/dl/win95/art/se281714.html (Download page)

There is a software (free), to do the resize work.
Attached here is the description of the screen. The application itself is in JPNese, but probably looking at my picture, you'll get an image of how to use it.

Hope this works, if not plz see attached.

For those that already have Photoshop, just look up batch commands, it's really easy. You just click on 'Record' then resize, save and close one picture, click on 'Stop Record', and then you can use the new batch command on either all open pictures, or you can select an entire directory of images to do it to, and just sit back and watch.

If you don't already have PS, one of the other methods would probably work better for you....

google PhotoGadjet Picture Resize, all you have to do is highlight all the images, right click on one of them, then an option will say "PhotoGadjet Picture Resize"click that, and then click custom, and then before you click ok, there are 3 check boxes, turn the middle one on, and the other two off, then your good to go. hope this helps

if you're looking for a command line tool, ImageMagick is an open source program for linux and windows. www.imagemagick.org
it contains separate programs like "mogrify" which edits files and replaces them with the changes. for example, to change size for all jpg files in a folder to 480x240 you would go to that folder in a command prompt and type:

mogrify -resize 480x240 *.jpg

there are other options like convert which makes a copy of the file it's changing instead of overwriting
